This position is located in the Marine Resource Branch of the Conservation Division, Environmental Business Line, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Atlantic (NAVFAC LANT).  The Conservation Division is responsible for producing environmental planning products, providing technical expertise, and making recommendations on complex resource topics in support of operational and infrastructure projects/actions.

DUTIES:

.Utilizes professional knowledge of environmental conservation and marine resources to plan, coordinate, and manage environmental spatial data.
.Applies knowledge of geographic information systems and applied environmental sciences to evaluate existing data sets in order to identify deficiencies for future correction.
.Provide advisory services and technical support for environmental conservation and marine resources projects, programs, and functions.
.Makes recommendations concerning natural resource management and geospatial issues.
.Produces and analyzes biological and marine resources geospatial information to support operational actions and training.
.Develops geospatial analysis and modeling procedures using related software (e.g. ArcGIS and ArcInfo).
