Distributed Campaigning Project Manager
Greenpeace International Programme Direction office.
We are encouraging candidates from India, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Philippines, Indonesia and Taiwan to apply. The role will be located at Greenpeace Offices in these countries.

Distributed Campaigning Project Manager
Location: Greenpeace International Programme Direction office (physical location tbc)

The role as Distributed Campaigning Project Manager
You will support and enable the continuous implementation of our distributed campaigning model for the International Programme Department. You will oversee and coordinate the distribution of global campaign roles, responsibilities and resources working closely with Programme Management, National & Regional Offices and all GPI departments and functions..
You will be working for Greenpeace’s global centre and supporting teams and networks around the globe especially in our priority offices.

What do you do as Campaigning Project Manager?
• Establish a strong and vibrant community of practice for campaigning across the globe, especially in our priority offices
• Develop tools and systems which will enable our global campaigners to create more dynamic and innovative campaigns
• Able to spot and solve competence gaps using practical methods.
• Advise the International Programme Director on issues related to distributed campaigning
• Support and advise National & Regional Offices in developing requests and proposals for distributed roles, responsibilities and resources.
• Coordinate with National & Regional Offices to identify training and capacity building needs to enable distributed campaigning and other operating model initiatives to succeed.
• Coordinate with GPI departments and functions to ensure National & Regional Offices have coherent support for distributed campaigning

Who are we looking for?
Greenpeace is looking for someone who is outgoing and curious, who likes people and building connections, someone who can relate to a broad spectrum of backgrounds. You have an appetite for taking risks with emphasis on learning and sharing. You have a background in social or environmental campaigning ideally at a global level. We are looking for a campaigner with extensive experience setting up systems, processes, and protocols for a dynamic environment. You need to understand complex rather than predictable work contexts and know how to create systems that are lean and work in this context.

Is this you?
• Do you have a minimum of 5 years experience, with project/analytical skills in a management / strategy consulting environment, or in a similar position within a global organization?
• Do you have experience in working with multi-cultural staff and teams and across borders?
• Do you have experience in implementing and bringing about significant positive changes in work culture, practices and performance?
• Do you have excellent project management skills?
• Do you have strong verbal and written communication skills?
• Do you have experience in working to very tight deadlines and under stressful conditions?

And are these competencies yours?
• Identify with Greenpeace goals and supportive of Greenpeace values
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with others in order to encourage and support effective communication and teamwork
• Develop cooperation and teamwork while participating in a group of people, working towards solutions that generally benefit all involved parties
• Build a logical approach to address problems by drawing on own knowledge and experience base and calling on other references and resources as necessary
• Recognize strategic opportunities for change
• High sense of personal accountability and ability to hold others accountable
• Initiate actions to increase or improve one’s knowledge, skills and competencies to work more effectively
